OPEN WITH CARE GUIDELINES

OPEN WITH CARE

*updated August 5, 2020

We’re back & we’ve missed you. All ViewHouse locations are open for in-store dining, to-go curbside pickup, delivery, events, and off-site catering. Same great eats, stunning views, fun…with even more care. We understand the great responsibility that comes with being a popular restaurant. Our promise has always been to deliver a fun inclusive experience while keeping your safety our top priority. All guests can dine with care at ViewHouse by following these guidelines to keep both you & our amazing staff safe. As we do year round, all ViewHouse locations take precautions to keep our restaurants safe for both in-store dining & door-to-door delivery. We love our guests & staff very much & take our role in the community very seriously.

We are closely monitoring the CDC’s notifications & guidance from city & state officials daily. We are proactively and continuously evaluating our policies as follows to reopen with care & take extra precautions against COVID-19.

TEAM TRAINING With the recent spread of COVID-19, we are remaining alert & monitoring nation & statewide protocols to ensure that the necessary precautions are taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We take this situation very seriously, as we do with all contagious illnesses, by ensuring that our staff are trained & properly informed of the necessary sanitization protocols from the CDC, FDA & governmental officials to protect themselves and our customers year-round.

FEELING SICK? First things first, please do not enter ViewHouse & please stay at home if sick. This goes for not only our staff, but all of our guests. The fun & food will still be here another time.

STAFF SYMPTOM SCREENINGS As with all illness and diseases, employees are encouraged to stay at home if they suspect they are sick or are showing signs of sickness. Employees are encouraged to report symptoms from their homes and we ask that they do not come into the restaurant if they are feeling sick. Please stay in constant communication with your manager. All staff will be subject to symptom-screenings per CDPHE guidelines at the start of each shift. Staff who exhibit signs of illness, such as a fever over 100.4 degrees fahrenheit, cough, or shortness of breath will be sent home until symptoms subside. Staff are required to stay home if sick with flu or cold-like symptoms until they are well enough to return to work & are no longer contagious. An employee with known or suspected COVID-19 must follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to self-isolate for at least seven (7) days after symptom onset and end isolation only after symptoms have improved and the employee has been fever-free and/or symptom-free for three (3) consecutive days without medication before returning to work.

FACE COVERING All employees are required to wear a mask or cover face per CDC guidelines & government mandates and clean or replace daily. Colorado’s Executive Order D 2020 138 is a mandatory statewide mask order that goes into effect at midnight on July 16, 2020, and will be in effect for 30 days. It may be extended. It requires people in Colorado who are 11 years and older to wear a covering over their noses and mouths:

  • When entering or moving within any public indoor space.
  • While using or waiting to use public (buses, light-rail) or non-personal (taxis, car services, ride-shares) transportation services.

People who do not have to wear a mask include:

  • People who are 10 years old and younger.
  • People who cannot medically tolerate a face covering.
  • Children ages 2 and under should NOT wear masks or cloth face coverings.

Forgot a mask at home? Masks will be available for purchase until supplies last.

VENUE SOCIAL DISTANCING Guests & staff should maintain 6 feet between others as required by governmental mandates. 6 feet is about the length of skis. Common dining areas & seating arrangements will be updated to ensure at least 6 feet of separation from seating area to seating area. Utilization of physical barriers on booth seating when available, socially distanced tables, tents, designated areas, & seating capacity will be enforced for safety.

STAFF SOCIAL DISTANCING Employees should practice social distancing by keeping at least 6’ feet between each other. No hugging, hand shaking, or fist pumps.  Staff is discouraged from using other workers’ phones, work tools and equipment. Employees will exercise social distancing measures during break time meaning they cannot take a break or eat at the same table or during the same times. Shifts will be staggered when possible. Where possible, workstations will be staggered to avoid employees standing adjacent to one another or next to each other. Where six (6) feet of separation is not possible, spacing options that include other mitigation efforts with increased frequency of cleaning and sanitizing surfaces. Entry and exit into the building will only be permitted through the front doors. Back doors will be locked at all times.

Always wash your hands after visiting the restroom, before eating, & after touching commonly used surfaces. As normal, we require that all of our staff practice proper hygiene habits throughout the day. Staff are required to properly wash their hands every 30 minutes.

VENUE SANITIZING We partnered with EVE Services LLC, a local Certified Healthcare Environmental Service Professional (CHESP) specializing in COVID-19 disinfecting to clean each of our venues. We also increased the frequency of cleaning & sanitizing high-touch surfaces & common areas such as touch screens, door-handles, menus, and surfaces regularly with EPA-registered disinfectant. We happily wipe down credit cards upon request. We sanitize between each reservation & guest visit by cleaning table condiments, digital ordering devices, check presenters, self-service areas, utensils, food containers, tabletops & commonly touched areas, & discarding single-use items.

CLEAN DISHES & TO-GO PACKAGING Food runners will only touch & deliver clean plates, bags, and to-go packaging to guests.
